Yankees make Gerrit Cole decision on short rest in World Series

NEW YORK — Even if the Yankees’ season is on the brink Tuesday night, there are no plans to bring ace Gerrit Cole back on short rest to start in Game 4 of the World Series.
Manager Aaron Boone shot that idea down on Monday afternoon leading up to Game 3 with the Yankees already trailing the Dodgers 0-2 in the series.
